Oct 10, Tuticorin: Indian Coast Guard has arrested 20 Sri Lankan fishermen on Thursday for allegedly fishing in Indian territorial waters, Indian media reports said.
The 20 fishermen in four boats were fishing in the Indian waters off Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu when the Indian Coast Guard spotted them and arrested them, a PTI report said.
The fishermen along with their four boats have been brought ashore and they would later be handed over to the Tamil Nadu Marine police for filing a case, officials said.
