Northern
Province Civil Society Collective organized a meeting inviting to the civil
society organizations in order to discuss about the role and responsibilities
of the civil societies according to the existing situation of the country. It
concerned the responsibility of the civil society organizations in the district
level, impact for the future programs as well as situation of the people campaigns
which will be organized to ensure the rights of the people. The participants
raised their voice to take actions not to repress the people’s struggles which
are organized against land grabbing, as well as they concerned the
irregularities of the officers. It discussed some future actions related to the
situation. Representatives
from Vavuniya, Manner, Kilinochchi, Mulltive and Jaffna participated in the
meeting.
