On 10th June 2019 NAFSO conducted a workshop on ILO and the
International convention on fisheries Activities which passed in 2007. the
workshop held at Barudalpola Fishermen Cooperative Society Hall in Barudalpola
.. around 25 participants took part at this workshop... specially educated
about the ILO and Its role plus 2007 convention on Fisheries Activities.
Puttalam District coordinator Mr. Loyal Peris has organized the workshop. 8
fishermen society leaders were present and they requested to educate the 2007
Fisheries Convention for their fishermen in their villages.
