A
five-day workshop of the world forum for fisheries people (WFFP) was held at
NAFSO premises in Negombo, Sri Lanka. Members of WFFP, from about 12 countries
attended for this program.
The
major themes discussed during this workshop was the current activities progress
of WFFP and the next general assembly that is going to happened in Brazil in
2020.
WFFP
program sub committee such as financial, communication, met during the workshop,
discussed their issues and presented to the main forum.
Members
of the WFFP then had a filed visit to Negombo Basiayawatta village to observe
the damage caused by sea erosion as a result of construction of the Colombo
port city.
