.: Kaluthara home garden

National Fisheries Solidarity Movement initiated to promote home garden within the network. A master plan was also developed for the campaign. According to the plan, every partner organization in the network took actions to promote the organic home garden within their members. Kaluthara District Fisheries Organization also launched a program to develop home garden in the area. The members of the organization have developed home gardens with the direction of the Kaluthara District Fisheries Solidarity. The members are taking fresh vegetable from their own garden now. The members from Payagala, Sahana village, Galpothta village and the group of St. Joseph have engaged with organic home garden as well. They earn extra income through the home garden.
