Land ownership back


Land of Mr. L.M. Miswag had been captured by the wild life department in Ashrop Nagar saying the rights for the land.   The particular land is located in Adalachchenei Gramaseva division in Ashrop Nagara, Ampara district. The land owner filed a court case against the wild life department and judiciary process was held within 5 years. National Fisheries Solidarity Movement supported to the victim of Mr. L.M. Miswag through Ampara District Fisheries Solidarity. It realized that the wild life department had no right to capture the particular land to be attached to the preserve. The court of Akkareipattu stated its order to release the land for the owner in 22 of June 2020 because the wild life department did not continue the case. The wild life department had not strong evidence to prove the complain. Ensuring the land rights is a victory of the struggle. National Fisheries Solidarity Movement and Ampara District Fisheries Solidarity supported to the Mr. L.M. Miswag being  behind of the screen.  Mr, Miswag tanks to the Mr. Herman Kumara, National Convener of National Fisheries Solidarity Movement and Mr. K. Issadeen, District Coordinator of Ampara District Fisheries Solidarity due to their support to win the court case.
