Land right seminar
A seminar on land rights of women headed families was held at
Kithul village on 15th July 2020. The seminar was organized by the
National Fisheries Solidarity Movement though Praja Abilasha Network. It aims to educate women the ways to acquire land, protect the lands of
women-headed households, maintain the
land in the rural area. The Batticaloa District Fisheries Solidarity
explained that the program was implemented as part of the campaign of Land Ownership Program of National Fisheries
Solidarity Movement. . It participated the women leaders from villages such as
Pullumalai, Koppaveli, Velika Kandy, Urugam, Kitul,Sarvodaya Nagar in the
seminar.
