Women monthly meeting

Monthly meeting of women committee in Kawadapitti was organized by Ampara District Fisheries Solidarity on 11 of July 2020 at the pre-school in Kawadapitti . There were 22 women members in the meeting.  The women committee has a micro credit loan system within the committee. Committee has decided to allocate 20,000 rupees for 4 women members as 5,000 rupees in each one. The women committee has concerned the strategies in working with the new Members of Parliament after the election. It decided to prepare a petition to take for the discussion with new members of parliament. The women of the committee have engaged with different income generation activities such as home garden and animal husbandry. It discussed to develop the income generation activities promoting among other people in the community. As well as, women committee concerned to build relationship with some like-minded organizations to get support to develop the income generation activities. Mr. Issadeen, District Coordinator and Mr. K. Gokulan, Animator of Ampara District Fisheries Solidarity participated in the meeting.
