The current president of the National Fisheries trade Union, Mr. AK Jamaldeen, expressed his views on the fuel crisis and the problems faced by fishermen, and its current secretary, Mrs. HPC Manel, presented her views on the situation of women fishermen during the fuel crisis. During the fuel crisis, Mr. Loel Peiris, the former president of this union, spoke about the problems faced by fishermen in Western, other areas. Mr. PH Lambert, Galle branch secretary of the National Fisheries Trade Union, discussed the situation of fishermen in the South during the current crisis. It was done by Mrs. Hilda Fernando, representative of the Negombo branch of the National Fisheries Trade Union. Mr. Harman Kumara, National Convener of the National Fisheries Solidarity Movement, spoke about our position in the crisis and repressive political climate. Mr. M.M. Milton, the media spokesman of the National Fishermen's Trade Union, presented his views regarding the remaining requests to the government as the National Fishermen's Trade Union to solve the problems faced by the fishing community in the current political situation and the fuel crisis.
