Theere were 12 members of SFO-Galle took part a reconciliation program through religious harmony between Buddhist and Muslim Communities at Dangedara, Galle with District Secretary of Galle, Buddhist monks, Moulavi and several community members.
The learning were important to all participated as they discussed how Islamic teachings help to make our lives more meaningful one.
Mrs. Chandrani, a member of SFO- Galle attended the session said, "We were able to clear some misconceptions of Islam we had and misunderstandings of the practices of our Muslim brothers and sisters. The misunderstandings caused to create a gap and to see Muslim people as enemies. The media and opinion leaders have given wrong impression while interpreting wrongly and loudly".
Now most of these were clarified and I am happy I took part the important event." Added Chandrani.
@Shehan Yenuka, Chair SFO youth Galle and , the former YMESOC chair who took part the event said, "We are continuing our learning through #iDove program. We feel, how far we were mislead by our media and necessity to learn more openly about other people's culture other than mine."

We are happy to see the learning through #iDove program last year continue with spirit and creating space for dialogue and contributing meaningful future for our people.
ආගමික සන්හිඳියාව ගොඩනැගීමේ අරමුණ ඇතිව රාජ්ය නිලධාරීන් හා දකුණේ ධීවර සංවිධානයේ සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් 12 සමඟ මෙම වැඩසටහන සඳහා සහභාගි වූහ. ආගමික සන්හිඳියා වැඩසටහන තුළ මුස්ලීම් ආගමික නායකයින් ඔවුන්ගේ ආගම අනුකූලව සිය දිවි පෙවෙත හැඩ ගසා ගත් ආකාරය පිළිබඳව ප්රායෝගික දැනුම හා අදහස් බෙදා ගැනීම 2023 ජූලි මස 18 වන දින ගාල්ල දංගෙදර මසින්දු නක්තුමා දේවස්ථානයේදී සිදු කරන ලදී. එහිදි බොදුනු ආගමේ ස්වාමින් වහන්සේලා මුස්ලීම් ආගමේ මවුලවිතුමෙකු ද ගාල්ල දිසාවේ පොලිසිය දිස්ත්රික් ලේකම්තුමා ද මෙම අවස්ථාවට සහභාගි වූහ.
